"Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan"
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) adopted on November 20, 1989 the first legally binding universal treaty solely addressed to the promotion and protection of every children's rights. This shows a vision of a child as an individual with rights and responsibilities appropriate to his or her age and stage of development.
The National Children's Month celebration was by the virtue of RA 10661 which commemorates the adoption of the UN CRC and is annually celebrated every November.
This year's theme "Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan" which focuses on the child rights. The theme aims to promote a child friendly environment and governance by promoting implementation and monitoring of CRC at all levels.
There are a lot of children who are victims of child labor and bullying. We must help lessrn or much better stop the violence against children.
