National DisasterResilience Month “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa tunay na Pagbabago”


Philippines is found near the Pacific Ring of Fire; this is why Philippines is a disaster prone area.
We also know that Philippines is near the West Philippine Sea where most typhoons originate, this is the reason why we are experiencing a lot of natural disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, storm surges and others. Disaster is everywhere, so in order to keep safe, we should always be prepared.
National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), formerly known as National Consciousness Month celebrated in every month of July. It was renamed through E.O. No. 29 issued by President Duterte on June 28, 2017. National Disaster Resilience Month aims for the safety of human and preparedness of everybody. The NDRM are observed by the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Member Agencies and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils by the various activities that was undertaken relative to disaster resilience.
We should be ready at all times; preparedness is a must!
