National DisasterResilience Month “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa tunay na Pagbabago”
Philippines is found near
the Pacific Ring of Fire; this is why Philippines is a disaster prone area.
We
also know that Philippines is near the West Philippine Sea where most typhoons
originate, this is the reason why we are experiencing a lot of natural
disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, storm
surges and others. Disaster is everywhere, so in order to keep safe, we should
always be prepared.
National
Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), formerly known as National Consciousness Month
celebrated in every month of July. It was renamed through E.O. No. 29 issued by
President Duterte on June 28, 2017. National Disaster Resilience Month aims for
the safety of human and preparedness of everybody. The NDRM are observed by the
National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Member Agencies and
Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils by the various activities that was
undertaken relative to disaster resilience.
We
should be ready at all times; preparedness is a must!
